Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt plus more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper plus more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 8 ounces cans green chiles 2 (4 ounce) cans
  • 31 ounces Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed 2 (15.5 ounce) cans
  • 1 ½ cups frozen corn
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • juice of ½ lime
  • crushed tortilla chips or Fritos, for serving
